Emily Carter is a London based, British designer. She creates luxury silk scarves and pocket squares, all using her original artwork – which is incredibly detailed. Her most recent collection is inspired by taxidermy and artwork/artefacts she found in the Natural History Museum, and was displayed at the London Fashion Week in September 2016. All of her products are finished and wrapped by hand. I like her work as it’s unique and striking. The combination of the detailed greyscale imagery and coloured grounds really makes her drawings stand out. The majority of Emily’s work is limited edition, and more of her work can be viewed on her website, which you will find a link to below. I also found a ‘lookbook’ of Emily’s work on the London Fashion Week website which zooms in on a lot of her pieces so you can really see the detail, this is also linked below.
